Help save Letters and Numbers

There's only one better gameshow than Countdown/Letters & Numbers and that is Only Connect on BBC4. If Letters and Numbers ceases forever the only way I'll be remotely happy is if it is replaced by an Aus version or even brit episodes of Only Connect. Still, will be a shame to miss out on David Astle's anecdotes.

I am more than surprised that SBS would ditch an excellent Australian show, loved by so many, including me and my wife, and supplant it with imported material. Is it just a matter of cost regardless of quality and viewer opinion?

Letters and numbers is genius. Lily is such a wonderful role model, showing young women and girls how you can be smart and still be cool. I don't imagine it costs much to make, so please don't ditch it.

Please keep producing this show. The UK version is a poor substitute. This is one of a bare handful of good shows on the entirety of Australian television at the moment. I watch it virtually every night and absolutely love it. Please keep producing a show that actually calls for intellectual input from viewers, rather than replacing it with more irrelevant dross akin to everything else on TV at the moment. If this show goes it is doubtful I will watch anything on SBS again.

Who at SBS came up with the dim-witted idea to cancel a fantastic show that challenges everyone to think? Surely this is a no-brainer in the ironic sense.

This is a very entertaining show with three presenters who come across as relaxed friends (to themselves as well as the audience) and it is just wrong that SBS intends to cancel it.

I can't believe it! What about me and all the oldies out there who rely on this show to keep our marbles intact! And then there's the whole housefull of football players that I know that watch it just for Lily. There is a really wide demographic out there that watch it, but it's just not channel 9 masses. Please keep it going - I'm an addict!

This is an extremely entertaining and educational show. I think SBS are making a big mistake cancelling it as I have watched more programmes on SBS since watching L & A than I ever did before. It also leads to much conversation amongst my friends.

Bring it back

David
