Axing of letters and numbers
This great show has become somewhat of an evening ritual in our family. I record it so my husband and I can watch and play together when he gets home. We have become very fond of the letters and numbers family of David ,Lilly and Richard not to mention the various contestants who range from school maintenance men to engineers. There's nothing more exciting than a "conundrum showdown" Please please don't axe my favorite show on TV! PS My friend's elderly blind father listens and plays nightly so it reaches all ages and stages.

We love this show
I do not like having my 2yr daughter listen to the news as there are many different adult concepts that I do not want her learning about just yet and am not a fan of her listening to the Simpsons. This show provides a family friendly option and my husband and I both compete (without paper and pencil - which is harder at times) to beat the clock and each other. We watch it most nights and would hate to see it replaced with something from overseas! We have very little Australian programming here -and it is great to Australian accents on the T.V.

Congratulations to the organisers of this site. It exists not for profit, and no other motive than to keep quality content across a wide spectrum of the population, for all ages. SBS, this premise is the whole basis of your existence, you must listen.

SBS -You must be joking!
Our household sits at 6pm, TOGETHER, with paper and pencils ready to do battle.
Richard, David and Lily enlighten and entertain us, as do our home grown contestants.
We shall NOT be watching the English version of our household staple.

letters and numbers
I have just heard the disturbing news from ABC radio station that Letters and Numbers is being cut .Why Why ? Surely SBS can find a different time-slot and keep a show like Letters and Numbers , as it has all the attributes of education, fun style and just plain enjoyment without the need of material carrot of a prize! Come on SBS make a move to change I thought you were Worldly.

Please reconsider, SBS
I was devastated this morning when I heard Adam Spencer say that SBS is axing my favourite show, Letters and Numbers. I can't understand why they would stop production of such an informative and inter-active show, suitable for all ages. I enjoy every aspect of the show, from Richard, David and Lily to the very clever contestants and the challenges it offers the audience to participate and improve brainpower.

SBS, please don't do this. L & N has many thousands of fans, who, like me, tune in every night for the fun, entertainment and mental challenge.

Keep Letters and Nuimbers!!!!!!!
No!!!!!!! I look forward to letters and numbers every evening, even when they are repeats! A wonderful way to stretch the grey matter and more importantly..it's not mind numbingly stupid. Please, please, don't scrap it. Equally important is the fact that it is a local show. Much better than import!

Please dont axe this great OZ show
L&N is a fantastic show that the whole family enjoys. It is the only intelligent Aussie show left!!
Lilly is a great role model for girls who like maths, and the polite intellegenrt conversation is a great example to all.
I dont want to watch an imported version when we have a fantastic, successful homegrown show
SBS needs to rethink this decision.

We love the show. It's fun to play along with the contestants, and comment on the frocks, shirts and ties. There's not a lot of good family-friendly shows out there and as soon as great one comes along, the decision is made to axe it.
Letters and Numbers sparkles and should be allowed to keep doing so.

Conundrums
Your show inspired me to compile Anagram Crossword Puzzles. I fit eight 9-letter words into a 9x9 grid and supply anagrams of the words instead of clues. I have one published every month in a free newspaper in my area. One may be used as a contest for seniors attending the Seniors' Scrabble Callenge in Seniors' week in October. Please keep the show going to keep me suppied with 9-letter words.
