Help save Letters and Numbers

This program is obviously much more popular and watched than SBS realises if it is serious about axing it. The three presenters are delightful, highly qualified for their jobs and appear to be very relaxed in their roles. This makes viewing most pleasant and the occasional jokes are always of a very good quality.

Why replace people we know and like with ones we don't? Being an experienced competitive scrabble player myself I am always also delighted when I see someone I know from that scene competing.


The person who came up with the idea of putting the delightful and clever Lily into a cooking show should be shot.

This programme was a huge support for my husband who recently died suffering Motor Neurone Disease. It was part of his life as he spent all his time at home. I have continued watching this excellent programme. Please do not take it away!

Just another voice crying out for this terrific show to be re-instated. Just watched 6 minutes of "bloopers" on SBS website and realised how funny the show could be.

SBS, what are you thinking ? Dumping a local show and replacing it with an overseas version may sound OK in the boardroom, but this decision will not wash with the large, loyal, Australian audience. Please continue to produce an Australian version of this wonderfully entertaining show.

L&N a truly interesting show. I enjoy the challenge, and I especially enjoy David and his delving into words. Most importantly we have an Australian dictionary as our reference. Why would we want a British substitute show. For goodness sake SBS management - you obviously have not done your homework on this.

HELP; please bring back this wonderful program. With no Letters & Numbers to go with the evening tipple I am suffering severe withdrawl symptoms. It has been such a joy, totally addictive and a great way to keep the "marbles moving."

Letters and Numbers is a part of my day that boths entertains and improves my quality of life.
I cannot believe that SBS would not continue with it. Please ensure that this iconic programme along with three wonderful presenters continues to provide the population with what it needs.
Less sport and more education is the only thing that will make this country advance.

In this sad world of endless dumbed-down TV shows Letters and Numbers is a rare beacon of hope and encouragement that there are still some people of wit and intelligence left on this planet!
